Before you write -
A few things we get asked often. If yours isn't here, send it in the form and we'll add it to the list.
01What's your MOQ for a new ODM project?
Our typical first-run MOQ is 3,000 units for an off-the-shelf model with a logo print, and 5,000 units for a fully tooled ODM build. We sometimes accept smaller - particularly if you're an existing Unibono buyer expanding into a new family, or you're piloting a new market with a small launch.
02Can I ship from your Thailand campus to avoid Section 301 duties?
Yes. Every line in our Thailand campus issues a Made-in-Thailand certificate of origin, and our buyers in the US routinely use this to sit outside the Chinese-origin Section 301 schedule. We can put you in touch with the customs brokerage we use, if you'd like an independent read.
03How long does a new ODM line take from brief to first shipment?
Typical timeline: Week 0-4 ID + structural design + T1 sample; Week 4-10 tooling + T2 sample + engineering revisions; Week 10-18 pilot run + full certification (CE / FCC / UKCA / IPX7); Week 18-22 mass production + packing + ship-ready. Roughly 22 weeks brief to shipment.
04Do you sign NDAs at the inquiry stage?
Yes. We sign mutual NDAs with no minimum project size, before any technical details are exchanged. Our standard NDA template is two pages and we can have it signed within one business day. If you have your own template, we'll review it the same day.
05Can I visit the factory? Do you do virtual tours?
Both. In-person tours of the Thailand campus are by appointment with 5-10 business days lead time. We also run live, guided 360 degree virtual tours from your office in English, German, French or Spanish. The self-guided 360 tour is always available - just ask.
06Will my design / tooling stay confidential?
Yes. Our policy is that ODM tooling is owned by the buyer, stored in a buyer-specific tooling cell, and never used to produce another customer's order. Tooling drawings, firmware and CMF specs all sit under NDA. If you want a third-party audit of this commitment, we'll arrange it on request.
One inquiry. One human reply.
If you've read this far you probably know what you want to ask. The fastest route is the form above, or just email lily@unibono.com - we'll route it from there.
