1. Who we are
This website, unibono.com, is operated by Unibono Appliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd("Unibono", "we", "us"), a grooming-appliance manufacturer with offices at 1 Chuangye 4th Road, Bonded West Zone, Beilun District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, and a production base in Chonburi, Thailand.
For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact us at lily@unibono.com.
2. Information we collect
We only collect data that you choose to give us or that is needed to run the site:
- Inquiry and contact forms. When you send an inquiry, contact request or product question, we collect your name, email address and any company, country, phone number, product reference and message text you provide.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date of subscription.
- Technical data. Our servers automatically log standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security, rate limiting and diagnostics.
- Cookies. See section 5 below.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data, and we ask that you do not include sensitive personal information in free-text message fields.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide quotations, samples and project support.
- To manage an ongoing OEM / ODM or supply relationship with you or your company.
- To send the newsletter and product updates you asked for.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU / UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent (for the optional newsletter and optional analytics cookies); performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (handling your inquiry and any resulting business relationship); and legitimate interests (operating and securing the site, and responding to business contacts), balanced against your rights.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies that are required for the site and the admin area to function. With your consent we may also use optional analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline the optional cookies; your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed by clearing your browser storage for this site.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the site, such as our hosting provider and our email / SMTP provider, acting on our instructions.
- Our affiliated offices in China and Thailand, so the right project lead can respond to your inquiry.
- Authorities or advisers where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7. International data transfers
The website and its data are hosted on servers located in the United States, and our offices are in China and Thailand. This means your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EU / UK. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
8. Data retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards only as long as required for legal, tax and audit purposes. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email lily@unibono.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls on the admin area, transport encryption (HTTPS) and rate limiting on public forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
This is a business-to-business website and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
